- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Penne Pasta
- Tomato Sauce
- Fresh Basil
Slice those onions up and chuck ‘em into a hot pan with a dash of oil. Sauté them until they’re transparent and throw in some crushed garlic. Soon after, lob in the tomato sauce and boil it up. When those bubbles are appearing, add salt and pepper, and take it off the heat. As it cools, add some fresh basil.
If you want, add some chili, but you need to be careful with hot spices and children. Add a bit more fun to it, too, with some tuna, sausages, bacon or whatever takes you fancy, and serve with freshly cooked al-dente penne.
Tortellini with vegetables
Otherwise known as belly buttons, frozen or chilled tortellini is a one of the best quick fixes for an evening. So chuck in some extra veg and feast away on your little navels.
- Frozen cheese/meat tortellini
- Fresh or frozen veggies: peas, green beans, carrots anything you have
- Parmesan cheese
Chuck those tortellini pockets into salty, boiling water and then add in your veg. Don’t let them get soggy like the sock stuck to the washing machine door, leave them fresh and crisp. Crush some garlic and fry it in butter, drain the tortellini and veggies and serve it all together. Delicious.

- Lemon Juice
- Salt, Pepper
Melt that butter up and fry the chicken in it. Keep going until the meat is getting nice and brown and then add the veggies. Mix it all together, searing those vegetables up, and then turn down the heat and whack a lid on.
Boil some water and cook the couscous before draining and mixing everything together into a big pan of deliciousness, leave to cool, sprinkle lemon juice on it and enjoy.
